Ambitious and world-class
Great charity, has achieved a lot, and has great, talented researchers from around UK and Europe working on big and ambitious projects.

A company that makes over £600 Million…
A company that makes over £600 Million a year and pays its CEO over £200,000 a year and apparently they still haven’t cured cancer. It’s just a massive con like religion. Anything to get your money. I hope their ceo is diagnosed with something terminal soon as karma

Fantastic Service
In the downpatrick store today I had the pleasure of dealing with Paula a long term volunteer, she was absolutely lovely, the shop is super festive and it’s a lovely environment with lots of bargains

Rude volunteer! (Finchley)
The volunteer working in the Ballards Lane branch (Finchley) was unbelievably rude :( I donated some items on Monday and when I walked in she did not smile or greet me but sat there stony faced aggresively pointing towards the back office, to indicate where I should leave the items. I have never come across such awful, unprofessional behaviour. These are free items donated by the public, there should be some level of kindness and interest to customers who have taken the time to bring in items that may benefit someone else. I will not be donating to this shop again.

Cancer charity shop abuse
Cancer research shop on Lord Street, Southport - I had a horrible experience with the manager. I asked the assistant if a Jacket for £9.50 could be bought for £7.50. She asked the manager, who flew into a complete rant that they never reduce their prices under any circumstances - she was so aggressive and rude that another customer came over to me to see if I was alright and to say there was no need for that and it put her off shopping there. I know it's a charity shop. I'm shopping in charity shops because I'm on a pension and can't afford to pay shop prices. Charity should help people both ways especially at this time. When I give items to charity shops, I hope the person buying is also helped by the low price. Charity shops like Cancer research seem to be big business now and have lost their way in helping people. Regardless, I should not have been treated the way I was. Jean

Terrible customer service in the…
Terrible customer service in the Catterick store, especially manager Michelle. Rude, confrontational awful service. She should be reprimanded for terrible treatment of disabled customers, won't be shopping there again. Both of the other staff present were also useless at conflict resolution. Wouldn't trust this charity with your hard earned money. Give it to animal charities instead who actually care rather than these money grabbers, regret every penny previously spent here

Worthless charity
Cancer research UK does next to nothing in terms of cancer treatment. Most of the current treatments have not changed in 30 years.
The fact remains that more people are dying of cancer than ever before.
The CEO earns £240,000 plus per year, so if you like funding hefty salaries then please continue to donate.
Having recently lost a family member to cancer, I realised that treatments available are virtually worthless. If you are young enough and fit enough to cope with chemotherapy, then you stand a fighting chance; but if you are old and weak then your chances of surviving cancer are almost zero.

More useless than a handbrake on a canoe.
I’ve not seen a single treatment advancement or one decent research study from these cowboys that has made the slightest difference to any cancer treatment. Go and google it for yourselves, if you like. Their tv ads with research labs, microscopes and actors who are dressed as doctors pertains to nothing at all what this ‘charity’ is all about.
It’ll tug at your heartstrings because so many of us have lost loved ones to cancer, but they are making diddly-squat difference to treatment, survival or anything that’ll make any tangible difference. You’re finding some nice, fat salaries if you donate though, so if that’s what you want to achieve, go ahead.

I am a big supporter of charity shop…
I am a big supporter of charity shop but I was let down more then ones by the Holloway Road store. Seriously no customer service skills in this store, often overprices when notice an issue with item instead of trying to come to an agreement over the price tag, their response is: “so are you gonna buy or not? “ Before I can answer they pass to next customer while I was paying, super rude! Staff need to learn manners! I won’t be buying there again! Shame really as all the other charity shop I go I never have an issue actually quite a pleasure to buy from any store in Holloway beside this one!

Hard work trying to donate!
I have donated money and also a lot of expensive items for my local C/R shop. I had a query and the response from C/R is lamentable. You cannot get through by phone and they take ages to answer emails. Even when they do reply to an email, the response is so inaccurate and perfunctory as to be insulting. After 10 years I am taking C/R off my list of favoured charities. There are more deserving ones!

Greed, money making no care for the people
Here goes , im sick and tired of you guys begging on tv its excessive. If you truely cared about people and cancer youd actually look into alternatives
You'd look into cannabis
Herbs like tumeric
You'd look into other routes instead of solely basing it on kemo which is mainly money money money.. while also pumping out multiple side effects.
You'd promote a better diet an alkaline diet
All of which will help not only cancer coming in the first place but will help reduce if not remove all together!!!
Start fighting the government more and You'd get respect far more from far more people.

The woman should not work with public
Went to donate extremely rare engineering books that my father owned . He lost his life last Christmas through depression.
The woman said they would go in the bin . So I took them from there . I explained she needed to be a bit more tactful with her words after what had happened . She didn’t care at all even after I explained the situation . Won’t be going back there again .

Zero support for their charity store…
Zero support for their charity store branches in UK being the first to cease taking donations of dvd and cds, plus computer games and records. Ridiculous. Just after I had dropped them in a lot of cds. Which presumably they threw away afterwards in the trash. They could have sent them all to CEX and got a money back donation on them all just from them to go to the charity. Poor strategy not thought through. Very disappointed. I regularly bought dvds there too!
